Stargate: Seeds of Life

Yesterday at 0845, a MALP was deployed to P3N-874. The initial readings we got back indicated the world was an earth-like planet with the Stargate being located on a mountain. There's a well-trod path to the Gate, so the world is likely inhabited. Based on the MALP's readout, the climate is characteristic of a middle latitude range like the Alps during Summer.

There was an extreme degree of biodiversity. Trees reminiscent of Pine, Mahogany, Oak, Kapok, Elm, Maple, Sequoia, Palm, Boabab, Birch, Acacia, Sakura, and far more all next to each other, with many hybridized. A sampling of the grasses had similar variety, transitioning from one type to another over a dozen meters.

We doubt this is a naturally occurring situation. <<TEAM>> will go through the Stargate to P3N-874 to contact the local inhabitants and to track down whatever is causing this and keeping this ecosystem stable. Acquire it for study if <<reasonable/at all possible>>.

SGC or OP-CORE?
The SGC, Stargate Command, is the main Stargate program seen over Stargate SG-1. They work to protect Earth, but do not do so at the cost of diplomatic relations, often leaving behind or destroying technology rather than recovering it. If chosen, you would be operating under the banner of SG-34
OP-CORE, Operation Covert Extraction and Reconnaissance, is an organization formed of former NID, criminals, and rogue military that were considered too dangerous and housed in The Castle on PSX-394 until they broke out and took over the facility, originally created for the canceled MMO Stargate Worlds. They want to seize control of anything that will give themselves and Earth an advantage over the Gou'ld at all costs. If chosen, you would operate under the banner of Theta Team.

Terra Calida
[Appearance]
Terra is a rather plain-looking redhead with short hair and green eyes. Below her left eye is a set of freckles that are similar to Aries constellation. She is slightly under five foot two inches tall. She has an overall modest figure, with C-cup breasts almost a size smaller and an average ass.
(SGC) She wears the standard green BDU and flak jacket with specialized plate inserts of a Stargate Command SG Team. The chevron patch on the shoulder possesses the number 34. She wears glasses. She wields a P90 and a M9 pistol.
(OP-CORE) She wears a black camouflage uniform under a medium plate armor able to resist staff blasts, with a visored helmet that have night vision goggles atop the helmet able to be flicked down at a moment's notice. She wields a G36K and a Zat'nik'tel.
[Brief backstory]
A woman of twenty-seven years of age, she found a love of archaeology early in her life. With her chosen field of study being Bronze Age civilizations, she came across what she would later learn was evidence of the Goau'ld presence on Earth. This left her work obscured, until she discovered the symbols of a gate address. Upon attempting to publish the images, she caught the attention of the (SGC or rogue NID) and was recruited into the Stargate program.
(OP-CORE) She eventually was imprisoned in the Castle by trying to get artifacts to her Rogue NID contacts. She played a minor role in the prison break that established OP-CORE, but enough of one she was trusted to go off-world and return.
